Sparking Imagination and Cultivating Kindness
Inspired by, and coinciding with, the 47th season of Sesame Street, a 10-week pop up tour traveled across the country, reaching over 17,800 attendees, encouraging preschoolers everywhere to be Kind – a message more important than ever and one always promoted by Sesame programming.
Through their partnership with local libraries, as well as HBO and public television stations, Sesame Street’s K is for Kindness Pop Up Tour celebrated literacy and promoted reading in local communities by bringing hands-on digital learning tools, bilingual Spanish / English books, and reading activities.
Each stop included three, 15-minute live stage shows followed by meet and greets with beloved characters, Elmo and Abby Cadabby. In collaboration with HBO, the HBO Kids Station brought kid-friendly digital activities to life by featuring exclusive trailers, games, and music as well as onsite staff to interact with parents interested in learning more. "Letter of the Day" GIF opportunity transported fans to the iconic Sesame Street stoop and allowed them to share their one-of-a-kind play experience on social media.
